Mica Pineda

There’s no doubt that Mica Pineda is one talented lady, but she is quick to point out that talent is not the only thing that makes one a success (especially in her field — or rather, fields).

“I love what I do, and it’s a lot of fun,” she begins. “But it’s not easy. It takes real hard work and discipline to prepare for a role and host an event, to memorize lines for a play or TVC, or produce a video on a trip.”

“And of course, in my line of work, one’s smile is very important, as it can make or break moments,” adds the host, commercial model, theater actress, and travel vlogger. As her pursuits constantly make her face an audience, Mica is very particular about her smile. “A smile is infectious, you smile and you automatically break the ice with your audience. A smile kind of says, ‘I come in peace’. It’s warm, welcoming and inclusive. It’s a cycle of sorts: I smile because I want to take in my audience and because I smile they welcome me. How can I smile confidently if I’m not confident about the color of my teeth.”
